Tree work in Hoton
Charnwood Borough Council has recently taken action as a result of trees in the village being felled without permission. Leicestershire Half Marathon Road Closure
On Sunday 17th February Prestwold Lane and Wymeswold Road will be closed for the safety of competitors competing in the Leicestershire Half Marathon. If we receive any further details closer to the event these will be posted on our website.

The village hall will become extra warm and cosy for the festive season following the purchase by your parish council of new curtains for the windows and doors. The curtains have blackout linings which will be of benefit when films and sporting fixtures are shown in the summer months. Following a meeting attended by 12 residents the parish council wrote to the Prestwold Estate detailing issues experienced by residents at the Forbidden Forest event held in early September. A representation has also been made to the licensing committee in respect of the review of the licence for Prestwold Park.

The defibrillator at the village hall was recently accessed in an emergency; fortunately it was not required to be used on a patient on this occasion.

The draft Wolds Neighbourhood Development Plan will be published on Monday 13 August and will be open for consultation until Monday 24 September 2018.

Defibrillator for Hoton
The defibrillator has now been installed and is now live with East Midlands Ambulance Service. Approximately 30 people attended the launch event and received training in CPR and how the defibrillator works.
