Speed Survey in Hoton
The Parish Council commissioned a comprehensive speed survey in various parts of the village during June this year. Its aim was to a) provide benchmarks against which we can measure the effectiveness of future actions and b) assist the Speed Reduction Working Party draw up plans for the next initiative to help lower average speeds throughout the village.
The data is detailed and needs analysis, however we would hope to share the results in a comprehensible format in due course.
There were no reported crimes in Hoton in May 2017. There was one reported crime during the month of June 2017; a road traffic accident on Wymeswold Road – the driver of the vehicle was arrested for drink driving and is being dealt with through the criminal justice system.
The beat team have been working with their counterparts in East Leake, carrying out increased patrols and using the ANRP system to identify vehicles to stop. This has been successful in reducing burglaries across the two areas.
